There are countless individuals who make The Father’s House a church truly built with care, but be sure to familiarize yourself with our team. These folks are here to lead and to serve, and they work hard to help envision and support our church.
Greg and his wife Betty are the Lead Pastors of TFH, and they have been serving in that role since the summer of 2004. Both of them love being part of this vibrant and growing church family and enjoy watching people discover freedom in God’s love and eternal purpose for their lives. They live in Morinville with their two children, Michala and Mitchell.
Candice is the Site Pastor for The Father’s House, Rochester (launched in January 2012). Before taking on this role, Candice served in various capacities at TFH Morinville where she started attending in 2007. With her husband, Clayton, the Jensens have settled where they both grew up—in the beautiful community of Rochester. Together they have 2 children, Caleb and Sadie.
Matty is the site pastor to The Father’s House in Bon Accord (launched January 2013). He’s been part of the TFH team since 2009. Before coming to TFH, Matty completed a diploma in youth and community work, and for 5 years, served with Fusion, an international missions organization. A son of Australia, Matty moved to Canada to marry Ashley. Together they have 2 children, Anneliese, and Alyssa.
Peter’s experience with The Father’s House began when he joined TFH Morinville’s discipleship program in 2006. Upon graduating, he served as an intern while completing a pastoral degree at Vanguard Collage. Serving as the Associate Pastor, Peter enjoys being part of TFH family and staff team. Born and raised in Morinville, Peter continues to live in the community with his wife Chantal and their children, Abria, Isla, Everly and Levi.
Tyler is the Youth & Young Adult Pastor at TFH and joined the team in May, 2019. Before coming on staff, he had served at a church in Winnipeg as one of the Student Ministries Pastors, received his Certificate in Christian Ministry from Vanguard College, and has spent the last 15 years serving in many different capacities in ministry. Both Tyler and his wife Alyse (who is a teacher at The Father’s House Christian School) have a passion for ministry and want to honor the calling placed on their lives. They are excited to call TFH their home and are looking forward to seeing students of all ages grow in deeper relationships with Christ and build intentional community in Morinville.
Rick began making disciples who CARE with the TFH Discipleship School in September 2013, but he has been serving in various capacities at TFH since 2011. Rick is passionate about seeing the Kingdom of God expressed on the earth and seeing lives transformed into living demonstrations of the goodness of God. He and his wife, Elisabeth, have four children, Josh, Miciah, Caelan and Mackenzie.
Naomi has been attending TFH with her husband Matt since early 2011, and she came on staff in April, 2014. With a degree in Youth and Children’s Ministry from Vanguard College (Edmonton, AB) and 12 years’ experience in kids ministry, Naomi is excited to be putting into practice all that she has learned along the way to help kids at TFH find their way home to God and grow as disciples. Matt and Naomi have 3 kids of their own—Isaac, Micah, and Lucia.
Michala is the newest addition to the team but is certainly no stranger to The Father’s House. She has served in a variety of capacites in the church including being a summer intern in 2018. Michala and her husband, Coleton, are looking forward to serving the body of Christ in the months to come.
Silmara has filled the big shoes of the TFH Accounts Administrator since January of 2017, a job that gets more exciting and more complex with the opening of every new TFH site. Her primary job is to keep the books straight and the money flowing. Give her lots of work to do by giving as God leads you to! The immediate members of her family are her husband Emerson, and their children, Emerson and Lucas.
Elisabeth is certainly no stranger to The Father’s House Church. From 2012 to 2017, she worked as the Networking Pastor. Since March 2018, she has been managing Higher Grounds, a local not for profit cafe in Morinville. Elisabeth, wife to Rick Melvin, is the proud mother of four children. She has a heart to see every person that God sends to be cared for and become an important part of God’s family.
